The book that sheds new light on reincarnation and the extraordinary healing potential of past life and hypnotic regression therapy, from the New York Times bestselling author of Many Lives, Many Masters. Brian Weiss made headlines with his groundbreaking research on past life therapy in Many Lives, Many Masters. Now, based on his extensive clinical experience, he builds on time-tested techniques of psychotherapy, revealing how regression to past lifetimes provides the necessary breakthrough to healing mind, body, and soul. Using vivid past life case studies, Dr. Weiss shows how regression therapy can heal grief, create more loving relationships, uncover hidden talents, and ultimately shows how near death and out of body experiences help confirm the existence of past lives. Dr. Weiss includes his own professional hypnosis, dream recall, meditation, and journaling techniques for safe past life recall at home. Compelling and provocative, Through Time Into Healing shows us how to help ourselves lead healthy, productive lives, secure in the knowledge that death is not the final word and that the doorways to healing and wholeness are inside us.

The fundamental purpose for me to write this book is to answer the age-old question do you really die? Is death final or not? Does the soul exists and transmigrates, if then where, when, why, and how. What could be the purpose for this human birth? Are we really born and do we exist? Or is it just an illusion? Even amongst the human race why the differences? I undertook a research in various ancient Sanskrit texts and other scriptures. This, I analyzed with modern scientific findings especially of Neuro scientists and cardiac specialists in their fields of Near death and Out of body experiences and astonishingly I found that what had been stated in ancient texts well adhered to modern scientific findings. There is some energy inside our body called soul and it does not appear to die. I find this soul, body, Universe etc, to be within the illusory world. Within this framework of illusion, the other findings take place, like soul migrates, soul does not die, soul is not the body, consciousness and soul are one, soul enters other bodies when this body perishes, soul seeks evolution, soul enters liberation and final settlement. At the boundary I would say everything is illusion and nothing what we see may be real. These findings I had presented in this book and trust readers would find it useful.

An Introduction: The purpose of writing the book is to provide a brief idea and knowledge about the various Vedic religious, rituals, practices, science, mathematics, beliefs prevalent in Hinduism. In short, to reveal the secrets of Hinduism. In India one should know that there were the intellectuals like rishis and saints and also tribals. The rishis and seers gave the written form of Vedas, Vedangas, languages, sciences, and all forms of knowledge. Sages and seers developed all faculties for Human knowledge, right from medicine to maths, philosophy, physics, astronomy and so on. The concept of re incarnation was one of the highest secrets of Hinduism and followed subsequently by other eastern religions.Though all were in pure Sanskrit it formed the base for the entire world to accelerate their development in all spheres of life. These were all introduced by seers in India through spirituality obtained from incessant meditation. The core practice is meditation. Since tribals living in India were accepted into the Hindu fold their practice still continues though reforms by Shankaracharya had its impact. These tribal practices were commonly criticized as a practice of Hinduism by westerners and other foreigners which is not true. Hinduism allowed their system also to flourish without much intervention. This book shall serve as an eye opener to all especially the younger generation who in the midst of their busy work may not have sufficient time to go deep into the Vedas and realize them. In whatever permissible context I have quoted the relevant portions of the Vedas and other texts to substantiate the authority of the writing. This book has also been written keeping in mind the innumerable NRI families and other foreigners belonging to various religions and cultures, across the globe, who would like to know about Hinduism and its secrets , and who at the same time have not been much exposed to its vast culture. Attempt has been made to analyse every topic to its semantics and explain to the reader for his understanding. Though India is divided by its language it is united by its culture which is Hinduism. However it must be noted that all Indian languages have their base in Sanskrit. The culture of religion was introduced by those ancient seers through epics, puranas emanating from the Vedas. Thus this culture is being experienced by the people in India called as Hindus. Hinduism has been a very tolerant society and over a period of civilizations has assimilated and welcomed many diverse cultures. Hinduism is not a religion in the strict modern sense, but is a composite culture. People living on the other side of river Sindhu were called as Hindus by the Persians (modern Iran) as they shared a common border with the ancient India (now in the region of West Pakistan). In the ancient Persian language they did not have phonetics or syllable for “sa or saa”, hence instead of being called as Sindhus they called as Hindus. “The swastika the early symbol of Hinduism has been widely found in Neolithic European ruins during the past two centuries of archaeological excavations. This has convinced scholars during Past and present that prehistoric Europeans practiced an early form of Hinduism with high spiritual concepts of eternal soul, transmigration, karma, yoga, the third eye and the Nirvana” says Richard Cassaro, Journalist and speaker. Most of us living in the modern age, especially the younger generation , would not have a holistic idea of the practices, science and technology prevalent in this culture especially from vedic times, and therefore this book is an attempt to impart and reveal in a nutshell of the wide beneficial practices prevalent in this ancient culture for the welfare of Humanity.

It contains carefully documented descriptions by a trained research scientist of visions, which I received as a result of prayers and requests for information. Science of Prayer validates the usefulness of walking a path of spiritual wholeness. The author describes his search for answers to help explain his experiences. This journey takes us through the study of consciousness, psychic development classes, training in an energy healing modality, and much more. It describes what the author did, and suggests exercises to help put you in the best possible position to receive the guidance that you are given. A hush came over the audience as Lightening Bear spoke. An arresting figure, over six feet tall with long braids flanking his angular body, he quietly surveyed the audience for several minutes. You could sense that there wasnt one tiny detail that those deep set, hooded eyes missed as his gaze rested thoughtfully on the audience. I see some of you wear eagle feathers in your hats, he said. In our culture, eagle feathers have to be earned and are a mark of the great respect given to that person. You must look amongst your own stories for your answers, he said gently. We cannot help you with your search for your own spirituality, but we will respect your customs and your ways and we are willing to share our knowledge and work together to ensure the survival of our Mother Earth. My first soul call came directly from this experience as a deep, spiritual yearning for information and stories about my own Celtic background and led to my travels up Saint Michaels line in England to many sacred sites. The second soul call came later, when I picked up one of Brian Weisss books and knew, without a shadow of doubt, that I would train with him in America and take his regression work with me to Australia. The book begins with my own story and the healing that his workshop brought to me and goes on to include regression stories from those that I have worked with real stories about real people. My hope is that these inspirational stories will encourage people to make their own journeys of connection wherever that may lead them. Its very gratifying to have our student and colleague, Valarie, continue this work in Australia and write such a delightful book. Brian L. Weiss, M.D.

The wise soul Wayne Dyer said, ‘Don’t die with your music still in you.’ For Bina Patel, the many tunes of her life, always changing as she grew, created narratives that shaped her worldview and brought her into relationship with her Cultural Parent, a term coined by the psychotherapist Pearl Drego (1983). This parent shapes us as potently as our biological parents, and lies at the core of our behaviours and social conscience. Coming from an Indian (South Asian) background, the author found herself unconsciously locked into an ancestral framework of duty, obligation and sacrifice promoting suffocating tribalism (‘we’) rather than individual expression (‘I’). Inauthentic living led to food addiction, dysfunctional relationships and chronic stress until she stumbled upon the healing power of talk therapy, reflective practice and the written word. Amazingly, profound psychic shifts occurred as the ‘verbal detox’ from her inner world progressed. Bina had stuffed her feelings into layers of fat for years. Somewhere in this reflective process, her emotional body resurrected and demanded compassion, love and forgiveness, rather than self-criticism, shame, guilt, samosas and chocolate. Surprisingly, the fat started dissolving away and fabulous insights paved the journey from Fat to Fab. Good Little Indian Girls and Stuff is author Bina Patel’s honest, moving and inspiring memoir offering a new framework for twenty-first century living. Patriarchal domination and distorted feminism are rejected whilst compassion, connection and co-creation are embraced. Beyond the toxicity of power struggles, limiting beliefs and labels, the potential for immense societal cohesion and well-being exist. The author explores how the ‘I’ can harmoniously dance with ‘We’ to create a better world for all. How can we be healthy Homo sapiens rather than depleted Homo burnouts?

Erasmus' Familiar Colloquies grew from a small collection of phrases, sentences, and snatches of dialogue written in Paris about 1497 to help his private pupils improve their command of Latin. Twenty years later the material was published by Johann Froben (Basel 1518). It was an immediate success and was reprinted thirty times in the next four years. For the edition of March 1522 Erasmus began to add fully developed dialogues, and a book designed to improve boys' use of Latin (and their deportment) soon became a work of literature for adults, although it retained traces of its original purposes. The final Froben edition (March, 1533) had about sixty parts, most of them dialogues. It was in the last form that the Colloquies were read and enjoyed for four centuries. For modern readers it is one of the best introductions to European society of the Renaissance and Reformation periods, with lively descriptions of daily life and provocative discussions of political, religious, social, and literary topics, presented with Erasmus's characteristic wit and verve. Each colloquy has its own introduction and full explanatory, historical, and biographical notes. Volumes 39 and 40 of the Collected Works of Erasmus series - Two-volume set.
